"That car is on fire!!"

As the colder weather approaches things are starting to change all around us. Those of us that have experienced the change of seasons more than once tend to be less likely to notice the details. Henry is really experiencing fall for the first time this year and I'm grateful to be enjoying the little things with him. This morning the car had a layer of fall-like dew on it (the kind where if it had been a couple degrees cooler I would have been scraping) and when Henry saw it he announced "Mama! It rained on your car last night!" Then we drove to Monica's house (for daycare or as he sometimes calls it "playing with my friends") and waited to cross the street once we got there and got out of the car. A car drove by us with visible exhaust since it was a bit chilly and Henry noticed this and told me "Oh no mama that car is on fire!!" (he recently learned what fire was). I tried to explain to him that smoke doesn't always mean fire and he pretty much rolled his eyes.

Other things he is loving about fall include wearing socks (and taking them off), putting the hood up on his sweatshirt and wearing his new shoes (because the girls like them). He dislikes the dry air which is bringing back his extremely dry skin and bloody noses.

So take a moment to enjoy the little things about fall right now because before you know it there will be snow!

being outside, anything involving water, softie, cat and the hat movie, noise (that's what he calls smoothies because the blender is loud), blueberry coffee (that's what he calls the smoothies we get him at caribou coffee), talking (on the phone), anything with wheels, driving, bouncing, spinning, pieces pieces (made by reeses of course), wagon rides, bike rides, hugs, kisses, stories, snacks, dancing, throwing the frisbee, giggling, yogurt, blueberries, paci, coloring, slides, doggies, friends
