More pics!

Here are some of my favorite pics from St. Maarten (taken by Sarah)
Henry swam out to this raft from the pirate boat and then of course wanted the raft all to himself!

I just talked to myself

Kids explain things in such pure ways. The story I'll always remember is when my parents pointed out to me that if I stopped talking aloud while reading the words would still exist inside my head. I seriously had no idea that was possible! So this morning when we had this conversation I was excited to see him grasp a totally new concept.

(the 3 of us were laying in our bed this morning after we had all just woken up)

Henry: "Dada will you read this book for me?"
Bill: "Sure buddy"(opens the book)
Henry: "wait I just talked to myself and I'm hungry"
Bill: "what?"
Henry: "I want breakfast."

Fish status confirmed again

Henry graduated from his swimming class again yesterday! This time from Tots 3 to Tots 4. Here is a video from St. Maarten where he is showing off one of the requirements to graduate (tiger paddle on noodle, face in, 5 seconds).

Happy Friday

Henry sneezed this morning and got a bloody nose. He was justifiably shook-up by this incident but a cup of hot cocoa, some stickers and voila he's better! He also knew he was going to Grandma and Grandpa's tonight which always makes him happy. These circumstances led to HT being extremely, hmmm, spirited... teetering on devilish. Here are some fun pictures of Lil' Man!

Henry wishes everyone a Groovy (sorry, "Car Wash" is on The Current as I type) Friday and Weekend!
(A special thanks to Sarah's loaned lens!!!)

Barber Shop

Henry and I played barber shop on Sunday. The humidity of vacation was doing wonders for Henry's hair but upon return it was a bit shaggy. Henry's attention span is limited so one needs to cut fast.

Here are some before pictures:

Cutting was made easier by supplying HT a spray bottle (caution: spray bottle fun may continue after the haircut is complete, in fact it may last the rest of the day):

Henry's finished look:

(The Unbeknownst Shot)

Henry did have a lot of fun and recommended we cut dada's hair so I took it as a sign. Here is my haircut fun. At one point I needed to take a break, drink an Ol' Mil' and smoke a couple reds...

Sexy Beast!

I knew I could not handle the attention of pretty women and the mullet was destined to act as a magnetic force for females... Seriously, look at that mane!

So... Goodbye Hair!

Aunt Fifi

SXM Airport

We've always thought the St. Maarten airport (SXM) was cool and have watched planes land from the road or nearby beach. This year we decided to go to the Sunset Beach Bar to get a front row seat while the planes landed.

Here is a video my dad took:

And a pic that Dave took:

It was a super hot day so Henry cooled off by requesting that we put his hair in a ponytail:

Inauguration Day

We spent Inauguration Day at Friar's Bay in St. Maarten. They had a TV in their beach bar and we were able to watch the speeches (although all the commentary was in French). Henry continued to show his love for Obama with his favorite pose.

O-O-O-Obama!
