Lucy began throwing up on Sunday afternoon which for her is not that big of a deal. Her vomiting continued into Monday and she could no longer even keep water down and hadn't eaten in over a day so we decided to take her in to the vet. They ran some blood work, did an X-ray (see above) and found that everything was normal except for her fever and dehydration. They recommended that she stay on IV fluids for at least 24 hours which meant we had to transfer her to an emergency clinic overnight so that she could be watched. That clinic was also unable to find any cause of her problems so we decided to bring her home and wait it out. She's now living the high-life because my brief internet research regarding what to feed dogs following an illness like this listed rice, cottage cheese and chicken. Chicken is Lucy's most favorite thing in the world. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the hug that Henry gave her when she got home, it was absolutely priceless.
